Privacy Policy — Auto Alarms
This Privacy Policy explains how Auto Alarms, developed by teto.tokyo, handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Information We Collect
Calendar Data
Auto Alarms accesses your calendar events from the following services:
- iCloud Calendar via EventKit (local on-device access)
- Microsoft Outlook via MS Graph API (OAuth 2.0)
- Google Calendar via Calendar API v3 (OAuth 2.0)
All calendar data is processed entirely on your device. We do not transmit calendar data to any external server. The app only reads calendar events — it never modifies or writes to your calendars.
Authentication Credentials
OAuth tokens for Microsoft and Google services are securely stored in the iOS Keychain. These credentials are never exposed to external servers or third parties.
App Settings and Alarm Rules
Your preferences, alarm rules, and notification settings are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults and SwiftData. This data is never transmitted externally.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect any of the following:
- Personally identifiable information (name, address, phone number, etc.)
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers
- Analytics or tracking data
Third-Party Services
Auto Alarms integrates with the following services solely to read your calendar events:
- iCloud Calendar (EventKit): Local on-device API. No network communication required.
- Microsoft Outlook (MS Graph API): Authenticated via MSAL SDK using OAuth 2.0. Only calendar read permissions are requested.
- Google Calendar (Calendar API v3): Authenticated via GoogleSignIn SDK using OAuth 2.0. Only calendar read permissions are requested.
No calendar data is shared with these providers beyond what is necessary to authenticate and retrieve your events.
Data Storage
Auto Alarms uses a serverless, on-device architecture. All data — including calendar events, alarm rules, and settings — is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not operate any external servers that store your data.
Data Deletion
Deleting the app will remove all locally stored data from your device, including cached calendar events, alarm rules, and settings. To revoke access for connected services:
- Apple (iCloud Calendar): Open the iOS Settings app → Privacy & Security → Calendars → disable Auto Alarms. You can also revoke access individually via Settings → Auto Alarms → Calendars.
- Microsoft: Visit account.live.com/consent/Manage
- Google: Visit myaccount.google.com/permissions
Notifications
Auto Alarms uses local notifications only. There is no push notification server. On iOS 26 and later, the app also uses AlarmKit for system-level alarms that can sound even in Silent Mode — these are also entirely on-device.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
