Privacy Policy — TetoColor

This Privacy Policy explains how TetoColor, developed by teto LLC (operating under the teto.tokyo name, "we"), handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Information We Collect

Images

All images you select or capture are processed entirely on your device. Color extraction and palette analysis run locally — images are never uploaded to or stored on any external server.

Camera and Photo Library Access

The app requests access to your camera and photo library solely for selecting images for color extraction. We do not store, transmit, or share your photos.

ICC Profiles

ICC profiles (.icc / .icm) imported by you are stored only inside the app's Documents directory on your device. These files are never transmitted to any server.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep TetoColor free, the app displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and process the following information for serving and measuring advertisements:

• Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android)
• Coarse location (derived from IP address)
• Device information (model, OS version, language, time zone)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, dwell time)

This data is collected by Google as a third party. We do not have access to individual users' raw data and only receive aggregated reports from AdMob.

On iOS 14.5+, the app requests permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before any tracking occurs. You may decline, in which case non-personalized ads will be served instead.

App Settings

Your selected ICC profile, language preference, and similar settings are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data is never transmitted externally.

Information We Do Not Collect

The app itself does not collect any of the following (excluding data collected by AdMob as described above):

• Personally identifiable information (name, address, email, phone number, etc.)
• Precise location data
• Contacts or call history
• User content (selected/captured images are processed on-device only)
• Custom analytics or tracking data

Third-Party Services

• Google AdMob: Serves and measures advertisements. As stated above, Google may use the data described for ad personalization, frequency capping, attribution, and fraud prevention.
• Apple App Store: Distribution only. We do not retain any store-related purchase information (the app is free).

Data Storage

Extracted palette history, imported ICC profiles, and language settings are stored only on your device. We do not store any TetoColor user data on our servers.

Data Deletion

Deleting the app will remove all locally stored data (palettes, ICC profiles, settings) from your device.

Data retained by Google through AdMob is governed by Google's policies. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Opting Out of Personalized Advertising

You can opt out of personalized ads at the device level:

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads (off), or decline the ATT prompt
• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

Children's Privacy

TetoColor is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Object to processing of your personal data
• Withdraw consent for advertising tracking at any time via your device settings

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
