Privacy Policy — TetoCounter

This Privacy Policy explains how TetoCounter, developed by teto LLC (operating under the teto.tokyo name, "we"), handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Information We Collect

Counter Data

Counter names, categories, current values, custom step values, and related data are stored only in on-device Core Data storage. No counter data is transmitted to any teto.tokyo server.

Purchase Information

The app itself is a paid App Store download (regular ¥450, launch promo ¥300 for 2 weeks). Consumable hourly credits for Team Sync are processed through Apple's StoreKit 2. We only receive the anonymized Apple transaction ID and an appAccountToken (a UUID tied to your account on our server) to verify purchases and grant credits. All payment details — including card numbers — are handled exclusively by Apple.

Team Sync Data (optional, only when used)

If you use the optional Team Sync feature, the following data is transmitted to our Cloudflare Workers infrastructure for the duration of the session:

• Session codes (identifiers for the session you create or join)
• Counter deltas (CRDT PN-Counter increments / decrements, in MessagePack binary format)
• Anonymous in-session participant identifiers (UUIDs that cannot identify individuals)

Session data is automatically deleted after the session ends and a short retention period elapses. We do not collect participant names, email addresses, or location information.

App Settings

Your preferences and settings are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. This data is never transmitted externally.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect any of the following:

• Personally identifiable information (name, address, phone number, etc.)
• Location data
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• Analytics or tracking data

Third-Party Services

• Apple App Store / StoreKit 2: Processes the paid app download and team sync credit purchases.
• Cloudflare Workers / Durable Objects (when team sync is used): Real-time sync server. Temporarily stores session data and persists your credit balance, consumption history, and verified Apple transaction IDs.

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data Storage

Core counter data is stored only on your device (Core Data). When you use team sync or purchase credits, the minimum data required to run the service (credit balance, session operations, Apple transaction IDs) is stored on our Cloudflare Workers infrastructure.

Data Deletion

Deleting the app will remove all locally stored data from your device. To request deletion of team sync session data or credit records, please use our contact form.

Cookies

TetoCounter is a native iOS application and does not use cookies.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
